We're all ageing, but how we age is up to us.
Will you choose to grow older gracefully, with poise & joie de vivre? Or set yourself up for pain & misery?
How many times have you heard the following statements and accepted them as gospel?
"I'm too old to do that"
"Joint pain? That's just part and parcel with the ageing process"
"Oh to be young and full of energy again"
"After a certain age your body starts to fail you"
Age is NOT an excuse. If anything it should be THE reason you choose to get up and shake your groove thang.
Movement integrated into your weekly routine now can prevent injury and build resilience against things that can affect you later in life, such as a decrease in bone mass and metabolism.
Every time you move, think of it as making a deposit in your health & longevity account. The more often you move, the more strength and freedom you have built up for enhancing your quality of life.
My hero showed me what it's like to live life to the fullest, even as the grey hairs are multiplying. She died today (Wednesday July 17th 2019), but for all of her 88 years Nanna thrived! She was active, witty, intelligent & hilarious right up until the very end. She made the choice to live a life of quality at every stage of her life.
You can't stop the ageing process, but you can choose to take actions today that will make your journey a lot more comfortable and enjoyable.
How will you choose to journey through the ageing process?
Here is your M.O.M! (Move of the month) to set you on the path to greater health & mobility.
